Robert Dowman has over 30+ years of experience in the insurance industry, starting his career in 1989 at the Lloyd's Broker Gallagher Plumer. Robert spent six years at Gallaghers before joining Jardine Insurance Brokers in 1995. Robert then joined Besso's Casualty Division in 2000, becoming Managing Director of Besso Global Casualty in 2007 and Joint CEO of Besso Limited in 2015 and Besso Group in 2017. Robert is seen by the industry as a leading London Market Casualty broker, specialising in the larger more complex liability placements across the world, whether that be on a facultative or programme basis. Interests: Family, Football, Golf, Art Originally from Sydney, Australia, ‘Mick’ started his insurance career as an Underwriting Assistant at Axis in 2007. He joined specialty London broker Besso in their London office shortly thereafter specializing in hard to place complex risks and quickly rising to lead the Casualty unit. Frequently recognized by the industry as a one of the leading London Market Casualty brokers, Mick joined Pantheon Specialty as a Founder and Managing Director. Interests: Family, Golf, Rugby, Travel With over 30 years experience as an HR executive, Jan has overseen the growth of multiple companies and successfully embedded a wide variety of high performance teams into existing businesses. Starting her executive career at ABN AMRO and most recently as the Group Head of HR for Besso & Corant Global, Jan joins Pantheon Specialty as HR Director. Interests: Running, Sport, Travel David has over 25 Years experience as a governance and legal services professional. He has overseen the implementation of governance systems across many businesses and the incorporation and establishment of a variety of regulated entities and trading companies in the UK and Overseas. Starting his governance career in the quoted PLC sector, David was one of the Company Secretarial Team at Jupiter Asset Management, prior to being Group Company Secretary of Besso Insurance Group for 16 years. David joins Pantheon Specialty as Head of Corporate Administration and Company Secretary. Interests: Football, Athletics, Current Affairs With 40+ years in the (re)insurance market, Alasdair has held a number of senior roles at Willis, Marsh, BMS and most recently as founder and CEO of the independent Lloyd’s of London broker Denison & Partners. He will continue as head of the Denison & Partners team within Pantheon.
